Laiah is currently a Strategic Partner Manager at Meta, supporting leading nonprofit organizations to deliver health and social impact messaging across Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp). Previously, she led partnerships for the YTH Initiative at ETR, a nonprofit team using technology to advance youth health and wellness. She proudly serves on the boards of the Mt. Zion Health Fund and the Make It Happen Fund, initiatives of the San Francisco Jewish Federation, supporting grant making initiatives in the San Francisco Bay Area. Spanning the private and public sectors, her work has occurred at the intersection of technology and health for some of the most significant challenges of our time, including encouraging Covid-19 vaccines, routine childhood vaccination, reproductive health, HIV, malaria, mental health, and youth empowerment and wellbeing. Laiah holds a Masters of Science in Public Health with an emphasis in Health Communication and Education as well as Maternal Child Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She has lived and/or worked in South Africa, India, Nigeria, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Malawi, and achieved her goal of traveling to 35 countries by the age of 35 three years ahead of schedule.
