Our program’s reach and positive impact on the lives of young people would not be possible without the hard work, passion and dedication of our talented team. It’s our people-power that makes Peer Health Exchange a unique and amazing place to work. In this ‘Day in the Life’ series,  we shine the spotlight on one employee at a time—providing just a snapshot of what they do—over the course of a typical day.

Your Name: Evan Sipe
Your Job Title: Senior Manager, Individual Giving

8 AM – My team gets in early and I usually start at 7:30am PST. This is the smiling face that greets me every morning at work on my desktop – my dog Sophie! She’s a rescue and we’ve been together for about 3 years. A true lap dog, she loves to chill out on my lap while I type away and send emails either at home or in the office.

12pm – My friend, Drew, is in town from Cambridge MA and we met for lunch. There is a delicious Banh Mi store near the office that I love. We got sandwiches and then ate them at the nearby Transamerica Redwoods Park. Luckily we found a spot in the sun and got to soak up some rays before I headed back to the office for the afternoon and Drew went out exploring.

2 PM – Most of my day is spent in Salesforce and Outlook – between prompting Emily and Louise with draft emails and ensuring all of our donors continue to have a strong relationship with Peer Health Exchange, this is the screen I most often see on my computer. I help Emily and Louise manage all of their external donor relationships, which means I get to know the stories of most of our national supporters and help consider strategy in how we engage everyone. This part has been the steepest learning curve for me as I work to craft unique personalized outreach for each person.

4 PM – I’m heading home! Thanks for following along on my day and excited to share more if you have any questions.
